Known to be the Peak of Good Living, Apex just landed another exciting title ranking as one of “America’s Top 10 Suburban Hotspots” by Realtor.com.

Our southwest Wake County suburb landed number 10 on the list and was the only North Carolina town recognized.

Realtor.com Chief Economist Jonathan Smoke said, “In recent years, rising home prices and inventory shortages in urban centers have made affordable suburban home prices more appealing for buyers. Our analysis indicates 50% of buyers planning to purchase a home this spring indicated they preferred a home in the suburbs.”

Realtor.com’s research team reviewed the top suburbs surrounding the nation’s 50 largest metropolitan areas based on household growth, real estate listing activity and housing supply and demand.

The Apex/Friendship suburb ranked well across all variables reporting:
– a 25.2% increase in households over the past seven years;
– an annual increase of 14% in listing prices for the past three years; and
– an average listing time of 34 days on the market, with homes selling 25 days faster than the national average.
